BedsideTV
Calance Corporation is working with Microsoft Health Solutions Group to bring game changing technologies to the healthcare industry. Our shared vision is to create tools that increase caregivers’ efficiency and encourage patients in preventive health maintenance.
The need to share information between caregivers, patients and hospitals has never been greater than it is today. Amalga UIS provides a potent information sharing solution for hospital staff and HealthVault solutions provide continued dialog with the patients beyond hospital boundary. Calance has created a platform that brings the rich information stored in Amalga to the patient while they are in the hospital and supports the patient through personal health information services based on HealthVault products, such as patient portals, for follow-ups and continued education.
The clinical staff can select relevant data from Amalga UIS to display through the bedside TV. This aids patient discussions, explanations and understanding. At the same time, the Beside TV system relieves the hospital staff from some manual tasks such as patient consent administration, surveys, meal ordering, and quality measures recording.
This system wraps around existing TV services, requires no re-cabling and leverages existing digital TV units.
Rechargeable Incentive Card (RIC)
RIC is a combination Incentive and Subject management system for clinical trials - its unique combination of financial and healthcare data management, designed from the beginning to be compliant with financial and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, brings new visibility to locator and incentive information, and helps to increase follow-up rates and improve study data quality
