SharePoint Junior Administrator

Location: Gurgaon, India

Job Summary

As a SharePoint Admin at Calance, you will be assisting in managing and maintaining SharePoint On-Premises environments, provide technical support to end-users addressing their SharePoint-related queries and issues.

Responsibilities

  • SharePoint Administration
    • Assist in managing and maintaining SharePoint On-Premises environments including site collections, subsites, lists, and libraries
    • Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and security
    • Monitor SharePoint performance and assist in troubleshooting issues
  • User Support
    • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing their SharePoint-related queries and issues
    • Assist in developing and maintaining user manuals and documentation
  • Security and Compliance
    • Help implement and manage SharePoint security policies, permissions, and access controls
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaboration and Coordination
    • Work with IT teams, developers, and business units to understand their requirements and provide basic SharePoint solutions
    • Assist in gathering and analysing business needs, translating them into SharePoint functionalities
  • Customization and Integration
    • Assist in customizing SharePoint sites using out-of-the-box features and web parts
    • Support the development and maintenance of basic SharePoint workflows and forms

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or  related field 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a SharePoint Administrator with hands-on experience in SharePoint On-Premises environments
  • Basic understanding of SharePoint Central Administration and SharePoint Designer
  • Familiarity with SharePoint architecture, site collections, lists, and libraries
  • Understanding of SharePoint security management and user permissions
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
